SEPTEMBER TOURNAMENT RESULTS:

Sunday Couples - September 2

Playing a Better Ball Stableford, John & Vickie Chatigny combined for 19 points to win the September Sunday Couples. Their 19 points was three better than the 16 points posted by Doc & Cathy Holiday. Six couples turned out for the September event. The October Sunday Couples will be on October 21 and will be a Partners Best Ball gross and net.

Couples Classic - September 8-9

The 34th edition of the Crystalaire Couples Classic was a complete success as 30 couples were treated to two days of great golf, great food and great entertainment. This year the format was again a couples individual eclectic and was broken into two equal flights based on the combined handicap of the couple. In the "A" Flight, Johnny Blalock & Janice Strech (CCC) captured the gross title with a 158 while Tom Solomonson (Alta Vista) & Gail Grundy (Summerlin) were the net champions with a 130 two-day total. In the "B" Flight, Tom & Steffnie Molley (Lakewood) combined for a 172 to capture the gross title while the team of John & Vickie Chatigny (CCC) took the net title with a 129 total. The participants were treated to valuable prizes, delicious food, impeccable service, great entertainment and all had a wonderful time. Special thanks to the Couples Classic Committee for making this another successful event at Crystalaire.
"Nite" Golf - September 22

For those that struggle playing golf in the daylight, try playing at night - pitch black-- with a glow ball. That was what 36 brave CCC members faced during the Nite Golf event. The team of Brian Barcelona, Judy Sharkey, Ken May and Vickie Chatigny won the "daylight" 9 holes with a scramble score of 24.19 and also won the overall with a 53.58 score. The Barcelona team also captured the "nite" 9 holes with a 29.19 while the Chris Baingo, Lydia Kurtik, John Sharkey, Pauline Hudson team finished 2nd in the "nite" 9 holes and also in the overall. For those that have never experienced "nite" golf, stay tuned for next years' event.
