6-hole Scramble & Duck Races - August 31

The 1st of what could be many - 39 golfers turned out for the end of the month 6-hole scramble, BBQ and Duck Races. The team of Johnny Blalock, John Hutak, Rob Parris and Charlotte David were the gross winners while the team of John Glass, Ron Thomas, Larry Veres and Donna Arvesen captured the net. There were 70 "ducks" in play for the 2 races down the creek. Karly Blalock was the Race #1 winner while Sharon Freeman was the Race #2 winner. Thanks to all that came out to support this one-of-a-kind event.

Couples Classic - September 7-8

The 35th edition of the Crystalaire Couples Classic was a complete success as 18 couples were treated to two days of great golf, great food and great entertainment. This year the format was again a couples individual eclectic and was broken into two equal flights based on the combined handicap of the couple. In the "A" Flight, Johnny Blalock & Kay Streckfuss (CCC) captured the gross title with a 154 while Derek & Joyce Ford (CCC) were the net champions with a 129 two-day total. In the "B" Flight, Ron Gonzalez & Roxanne Park (El Cariso) combined for a 179 to capture the gross title while the team of Tyler & Dyan Robison (CCC) took the net title with a 133 total. The participants were treated to valuable prizes, delicious food, impeccable service, great entertainment and all had a wonderful time. Special thanks to the Couples Classic Committee for making this another successful event at Crystalaire.

"Nite" Golf - September 21

For those that struggle playing golf in the daylight, try playing at night - pitch black- with a glow ball. That was what 28 brave CCC members faced during the Nite Golf event. The team of Tyler & Dyan Robison and Mike & Ginny Walden won the "daylight" 9 holes with a scramble score of 25.88 and also won the overall with a 60.76 score. The team, of Todd Dietzen, John Glass, Mike Carpenter and Pam Lockwood captured the "nite" 9 holes with a 33.75 while the team of Kelly & Amy Combs and Alan Strech were the overall gross winners with a 76. For those that have never experienced "nite" golf, stay tuned for next years' event.
